It’s back again – Amazon Prime Day…err…Days. That means that most (all?) Amazon country properties are doing pretty substantial deals across the board on all sorts of products for today and tomorrow (July 11th and 12th). This event is held each summer, usually in July, and often this day has better sports tech deals than even Black Friday does (from an Amazon perspective).
In some ways, a July sale date for sports tech items is timed perfectly. See, typically Black Friday deals are for ‘older’ things, rarely the ‘just announced’ stuff that often comes in the late August to October timeframe (especially cycling trainers and watches). But with Amazon Prime Day being in July, there’s more opportunity for brands to put things on sale for a one-off summer day. Typically speaking though, don’t expect to see things on sale that were announced this year.

Ooni Fyra 12 Wood Fired Outdoor Portable Pizza Oven – $70 off!$279Amazon⚡ I know, I know, I still owe everyone a review. Nonetheless, two years later, I love this thing. We use it for more than pizza too, notably steaks (to get a really crispy sear). But a lot of pizza. It’s completely portable, even easily fitting on our cargo bike. Note that I went with this model, the cheapest one they make, as I realized that buying the higher-end models that that support gas didn’t make much sense for me. I have a gas grill already (and could easily just put a stone on it). Similarly, while a large 16″ is appealing, realistically I’ve found this 12″ more than enough for pretty substantial personal pizzas (and it makes it easier to handle). Full in-depth review pretty soon…probably.
